The wood grain effect is fun because it's one of the few "cool tips" that I've followed that was actually easy. And it's one of the rare instances where a streaky marker isn't a problem (it's practically an advantage). If you go over it with colored pencil, you can get a super realistic effect, but I'm lazy and that wouldn't have fit the style anyway.
