too many sketchbooks
Jun. 15th, 2023 09:33 pmI'm close to completing sketchbook #10. And I just bought a new sketchbook on a whim. I have a couple other in-progress sketchbooks so I was thinking this new one might be up to thirteen or so, but then I double-checked and it will be sketchbook #15. Which made me realize I've never posted anything from sketchbook #14.

This is the title page I made. I started this in September and labeled the pages in anticipation of an October drawing challenges and did three out of thirty-one challenges and set it aside. I really need to swear off these daily challenges. I'm almost guaranteed to fail and frustrate myself in the process. (I did complete one Inktober many years ago, but few of the drawings were very satisfactory.)

I considered turning the apple into an icon, but I don't think it translates well to a photograph. In person, it's mildly fun because of the glitter, but the actual image is still kinda crap.
The only one I like is the "Memory".

I apologize for the shadows. I was too lazy to move my lamp around to get the right angle for the photographs. (These don't really merit the effort.)
I'm mainly posting this just to establish a tag for sketchbook #14 and to say "Hi, I'm not dead." And you can expect more posts in the next few days when sketchbook #10 is finally complete.
