eyes

I've decided that my new goal is to draw eyes regularly. I want to improve my eyes. I don't mind that my style isn't very realistic. I even want to experiment with more stylized eyes. But at the moment, I feel my eyes often look wrong or sloppy (and mismatched).



Sketchbook #10 is officially done! Woot! (I might or might not still post one or two more photographs from it.)

I love drawing eyes and your stylisations work really well! A realistic structure with an illustrative style.

I heard some art advice that you should pick one thing and just draw the same thing every single day until you've perfected it and ... no, I'm not doing that. Turning something into a daily obligation is the quickest way to sap my motivation.

However, I've decided that if I *were* to draw the same thing every day it would be eyes, so with that in mind, eyes are going to be my fall-back drawing for awhile. Any time that I want to draw but can't decided what to draw, I'm just going to do eyes regardless of the fact that I may have already done them a dozen times in the same sketchbook. So, not a daily drawing but a default drawing.
