hand studies (drawesome prompt #42)

The drawesome art prompt this month is to draw your hand. This is always something I say I'm going to practice, but I so rarely do.

I should do dozens and dozens of hand studies to try to improve. But. I think because I'm never satisfied with how they turn out, I'm not motivated to keep drawing them even though the reason they don't turn out great is that I don't practice enough.

Hands and feet. Those were the BIGGEST complaints when I was hanging with artists. And NO ONE draws them the same as another, it seemed like. (Technique or final outcome)

Thanks! I've been meaning to join in for ages, but inertia always takes over. I'd really like to get more serious about practicing my drawing this year.

Those look great! The shading and background with the bright highlighter really work!

Thanks! I felt the need to force a little contrast and the highlighter is a great easy way to do that.
